Concerned parent: My daughter is 6 years old. She has been a successful picky eater since she was 2. She is a carb baby. No meats or fish. Her only veggies are carrots and corn. Carrotts only with ketchup. Thank goodness my husband makes homemade pizza, that is her favorite. She can eat white rice, plain pasta (some), chinese plain brown noodles, God bless peanut butter, Micky D'' fries (always wants fries, but they have to be crunchy).

Concerned Parent: Hello. My son is 10 and 1/2 years old, 4 foot, 4 inches tall and weighs 99 lbs. He seems to continually put on weight in spite of some light activity such as basketball and lacrosse. We try to keep snacks in the house to a minimum and use only the 100 calorie bags when snacks are needed. He does buy lunch at school but I guess I don''t really know what he is eating. He has a peanut allergy and recently had a bad case of excema. His appetite never seems to be satisfied. My husband, daughter and I all are in good shape and exercise regularly but other than forcing him on the treadmill....what can i do?

How can I help diversify a child's eating habits?

Concerned Reader: I know a kid who is 3 1/2 years old and only eats chicken nuggets. Is this bad? Can he get diabetes because he does not eat almost anything else? The doctor said that he will start eating someday but it has been 2 years already. He does not eat vegetables, only bananas and grapes but only once in a while and only small portions, not even half a banana. He likes milk in a bottle so because he does not eat a lot, he drinks milk instead. The blood test results are always good, that is why the doctor says he is okay and someday will start eating. What kind of doctor can they take him to help him with the appetite? Is there any type of classes to teach the kids how to cook and eat? Please help me!!!! Thanks for your opinion.
